Meet Our Partners
Building a better community for animals together
The goal of the Partnership for Pets campaign is unite agencies,
beginning with the Humane Society of Charlotte and Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal
Care & Control, to work together to raise awareness for animal issues
in Charlotte, North Carolina and educate citizens on how they too can get
involved to help their communities animals.
Our partnership has been strengthened over the years by the Foundation
For The Carolinas, one of the largest community foundations in the Southeast
and among the top 10 in the United States. They exist to help individuals,
families, nonprofits and corporations make a positive impact on their communities.
One such family was the Patterson family. George D. Patterson & his
daughter Sally were avid animal lovers. They believed in the work of our
two agencies, supporting collaborative campaigns between the two agencies
for many years. This fund that still remains in their honor provided the
much-needed funding to create the Partnership for Pets campaign.
